Boba Fett Mini Series Could Start Filming Next Week

So I wasn't sure whether to talk about this news or not, but enough sites are running it so I thought there was enough credibility to look at what this news could mean. So after his return in the first episode of the second season of The Mandalorian, Temuera Morrison will reprise his role as Boba Fett for a mini series which could start filming as early as next week. Now here are my thoughts on this potential news.

When will it be set? 

So this was the first thing that came into my mind, Obviously most people would expect this show to take place after The Mandalorian Season 2 and after the eventual showdown between Mando and Fett later on in that season, but what if it takes place before his arrival on that show. In terms of canon we still do not know how Fett survived his encounter with The Sarlacc and how he made it into the situation that he is when we see him in The Mandalorian and this mini series could be the way to tell that interesting story. 

Could we see some other famous Bounty Hunters return

With Boba Fett being the most famous bounty hunter in the star wars universe, it provides an interesting look into the universe. But he has had plenty of companions on his travels, such as Bossk and Dengar, potentially we could see these characters return in this show and go on journeys with Fett or even be adversaries. 

Do we need this show?

This is my biggest question though is, whether this is necessary. Let's face it Boba Fett works as a part of The Mandalorian, as an adversary to our protagonist but would his own show work. Would it come across as too similar to the main show and really fail to be as interesting, I love Boba Fett and would obviously give this a chance but I am hesitant as to whether it would succeed. 

Overall

Overall, we aren't even sure if this news is accurate but if it is I would be a bit sceptical but excited as to what direction they would take Boba Fett in.
