10 Underrated Films to watch on Netflix during Quarantine

Obviously right now the majority of people are stuck at home needing things to do and watching films is a great way to escape from the dark times we are currently experiencing. I thought it might help if I recommended some films that people could watch, instead of picking the obvious films that people will go to I thought I would suggest some films that I think are great and are worth a watch, all of these are an Netflix at the moment so are accessible to watch. 

The Fundamentals Of Caring

  This film is a comedy starring the great Paul Rudd, it sees a man suffering from a personal loss decide to become a caregiver for a disabled boy. This comedy does a great job of balancing laughs, having drama and really nailing the emotional aspect of the story. If you want to laugh but also sink your teeth into a deep story then this is worth a watch.

The Equalizer

 An action film starring the legendary Denzel Washington, it sees a former hitman come out of retirement to protect people he cares about. If you want a violent and crazy action film with a charismatic lead then this is a fun watch for sure, it is a great watch and should satisfy your action needs. 

Fighting With My Family

 Yes people might think a wrestling film might not be worth a watch but trust me this is a fantastic film. It sees a young girl dream to become a professional wrestler and you see her grow from the bingo halls of Norwich to the WWE. This film is one of those sport films where the story and characters make the film and the setting is just what it is, the characters and emotional story sees a fantastic coming of age story and a true underdgog tale, 

Prisoners

 For those who like your emotionally impactful drama then prisoners is worth a watch. Starring Hugh Jackman & Jake Gyllenhaall it sees an emotional father and a detective clash in an attempt to track down a missing girl. This film relies on truly amazing performances and the drama truly sucks you in and you get invested and are really rooting for the characters. 

Spy

 A bit of a different direction, if you want a ridiculous over the top action/comedy then this is an enjoyable film. The film sees a desk lady forced to become a spy and save the world. This film is ridiculous but should make you laugh and keep you entertained throughout, mainly thanks to Jason Statham's very funny performance.

50/50

 A film that sees a young man diagnosed with Cancer and how he trys to get through life. It doesn't sound like the most fun film ever but this film mixes comedy and drama brilliantly, it takes a sore subject but mamages to bring laughs while treating Cancer seriously and it is a real worthwhile watch.

Looper

 Here for your Sci-Fi buzz, this film sees a hired mobster has to try and avoid getting killed by his bosses. Now my description is very crytptic because there is so much going on in this film, excellent performances, great action and twists and turns make this a truly wild ride that has so much to it that it must be seen. 

10 Cloverfield Lane

 This film is an interesting one as it focuses on people being stuck in Quarantine but it is a very interesting film. After a woman is in a car accident she is taken to a house where two men tell her the world has ended. This is a gripping film where you really don't know what is exactly happening and through great editing and performances you will be gripped throughout and really invested.

Enders Game 

 A film that sees a young cadet have to attempt to lead his class to train to get ready to save the world. This is a great story involving many great actors, some young and somoe more senior. This film has a great style and it is great seeing these kids train to become true military soldiers. 

Warrior

 In my opinion probably the best film on this list, the film sees two brothers have to fight in a MMA Tournament for different very personal reasons. This is a truly emotional film with some truly excellent performances again if you don't like MMA, don't worry about that as this film is about the great characters and the truly emotional moments.
