Predictions: The Flash Season 7

 Predictions: The Flash Season 7

With The Flash having its sixth season ended prematurely due to the pandemic, the aftermath of the season will have to be explored in Season 7 and here are my predictions for things that might happen in the 7th season of the show.

The Mirrorverse story will be completed by the mid season mark

The story involving Eva McCulloch took up the end part of season 6, and judging by how the episodes were presented it seems that she will be defeated quite early in season 7. Honestly, her story was pretty weak for me and I will be happy to see The Flash take on a different villain in the second half of the season and I think I have one in mind.

Godspeed will be the main villain of season 7

Towards the end of the season there was an episode that centred around the speedster Godspeed which felt a little out of place and it was revealed he was still at large at the end of the episode. With Barry losing his speed, it could be an interesting story to see him come against this unnatural speedster and it will be nice to learn more about the villain.

Iris will gain powers

It seemed at the end of the season that Iris was gaining control of the Mirrowverse and learning how to use the powers with it. It seems that with Barry losing his speed and the show losing Elongated Man and possibly Frost it will need characters with powers and giving Iris powers while Barry is losing his could be an interesting story.

Elongated Man will be recast and be written out of the show early

After the online controversy involving Elongated Man actor Hartley Sawyer he was fired from the show leaving the future for the character up in the air. It has been confirmed that the role is being recast as he needs to finish his arc with the character Sue Dearbon, it has also been confirmed that this will be a small role and that is probably be for the best.

The Reverse Flash will be set up as the villain for the 8th and final season

I believe that the story involving Barry losing his speed is because the show is getting ready to end, Arrow made it to 8 seasons and I think The Flash will make it to the same length. So for me it is only fitting that Eobard Thawne is set up as the villain for that season, he has been the biggest villain in The Flash's world so should be the villain to end it all.

Overall

Overall, after a lacklustre 6th season hopefully, the 7th season of the show can get back to the levels of the first few seasons and give this show a shot in the arm.
