Iman Vellani cast as Ms Marvel for Disney+ Series

Another day goes by and more news about Disney+'s Marvel shows have come out, and it is that new actress Iman Vellani has been cast as Kamala Khan AKA Ms Marvel for her very own Disney+ Series and here are my thoughts on not only the casting but what this news can do. 

Should take inspiration from Marvel's Avengers 

Recently Ms Marvel has become a more mainstream name as being really the main character of the new video game Marvel's Avengers and even though that game has plenty of issues the presentation of Kamala Khan is not one of them and she is possibly the best part of the game. Coming across as a young fangirl basically living her dream is really charming and I hope they take a similar route for her live action character. I doubt there will be any main characters making cameos but her having that personality could be fun to watch. 

Hiring an unknown is a risk 

I checked up Iman Vellani's IMDB page and literally Ms Marvel will be her first acting job which for obvious reasons is a risk by Marvel Studios. But Marvel have been pretty great with their casting choices even when they are relatively unknown and I think we will get some casting for this show of higher profile actors and actresses that will help ease her into the role. 

Will introduce Inhumans to the mainstream MCU 

If you take out Agents Of Shield and the awful Inhumans mini series The MCU has yet to touch into Inhumans. But Ms Marvel is an Inhuman so it will be interesting to see how they will link this, it is highly unlikely it will connect to either of those other shows so it adds new chances of exploration with some interesting characters. 

She could have a big future in The MCU

Already it has been theorised that this is not just a casting for this show. Ms Marvel has a large connection with Captain Marvel so an appearance in the sequel of that film can't be ruled out. Also if they are moving ahead with a Young Avengers film or tv series then Kamala would be an obvious choice to join. 

Overall 

Overall, it is great to see Kamala Khan coming to the MCU and though we know nothing about the actress the fact that we are getting this show is pretty exciting.
