Opinion - Why it is time to see a live action Miles Morales Spider-Man

So after the announcement that one of the new games on the Playstation 5 will be Spider-Man: Miles Morales and with the succes of Spider-Man Into The Spiderverse I had a think and here are my reasons why Miles Morales should be introduced in the 3rd Tom Holland led Spider-Man film and have his own trilogy afterwards. 

Would be a fresh take for the character of Spider-Man

Let's face it at this point we have had 7 Live action Spider-Man films and every time the character of Peter Parker has been used, which makes sense as he is the version that the majority of people associate with. Tom Holland has and still is great in the role and I think he can continue for time to come but adding Morales as a new character would freshen up the role and give new storytelling options.

Would add Diversity to the Marvel Universe

A fair criticism towards Marvel, especially at the beginning was a lack of diversity amongst there heroes, this has been improved with such characters as Black Panther, Falcon & War Machine and the upcoming Shang-Chi but this would add even more. With the current climate, seeing a young African American as a superhero could really be a great move for Marvel and draw in a huge audience.

Would change up Peter Parker's character  

As mentioned, Tom Holland has been really good as Spider-Man and one of the best parts of that has been seeing his relationship with Tony Stark and there mentor-student relationship. So seeing Peter as a mentor for Miles would really be a nice change for his character and really show development from the first time we have seen him to that point.

Allows the opportunity for other new characters

If this happened, it would also give Marvel a chance to introduce some other Spider-Man characters such as Spider-Gwen and Ben Riley. Plus maybe using villains that haven't been seen on the big screen before such as Chameleon, Kraven or Aleister Smythe.

Overall

Overall, I wouldn't be suprised if we saw this happen in the not to distant future and I think this would be an easy way for Marvel to gain a new Superhero and do something interesting with one of their current heros too.
