Justice League - The Snyder Cut is finally coming in 2021 - But is it too late?

Justice League - The Snyder Cut is finally coming in 2021- But is it too late?

So huge news was revealed last night as Warner Bros announced that the Snyder Cut version of Justice League will be coming in 2021. For 2 years now fans have been demanding for this cut of the movie and they are finally going to get it and I am going to look at the pros and cons of this decision.

What is it?

So for those who don't know I will just briefly explain what the Snyder Cut is, back before Justic League came out the majority of the film was directed by Zack Snyder. Unfortunatley, he suffered a family tragedy before the film could be finished and decided to vacate his role as the director and Avengers director Joss Whedon as he finished the film but it did lead to a pretty mixed experience. But Snyder claimed that he has pretty much a finished cut of the film which had plenty of differences to the released movie and now we are going to finally see this version of the movie.

Is it worth it?

So it has been reported that this will either be a Four Hour film or a Six hour Series with The Snyder Cut, but it has been reported that it will cost 20-30 Million dollars and I just wonder whether it is worth it. The film had its issues but was fun from what I remember and will they be able to recoup the money as at the moment it has only been announced to take place on HBO Max which is US exclusive though I am sure it will come to other countries around the same time. Even though I know they say better late then never and this is the definition of that here.

Will it introduce Darkseid?

The main villain of Justice League was Steppenwolf, he was introduced as a relative of the ultimate villain Darkseid but we never get to see him in the flesh. We have heard Snyder wanted to introduce him but Whedon decided against it as it felt to similar to his introduction of Thanos in the first Avengers film but now could we see Darkseid here to set him up as a major villain.

Does this mean a Justice League Sequel is on?

We know Justice League was meant to be the first of many films but after it's response and lackluster Blockbuster that wasn't followed up to focus on solo movies instead. Now with this being made and the commitment being put into it could it lead to a future for this franchise, if it does well in both departments then a future film could actually be a realistic option.
