Ranked: Star Wars The Clone Wars 

So now I have watched and review the 7 seasons of The Clone Wars it has come to the point to rank them. Once again this is a personal opinion and it might include some spoilers for sure. 

7. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 1 (2008)

 The season that started it all, the first season does some things right for sure like giving the spotlight to new characters and fleshing out some characters but it has some issues. It is unfocused and the animation is at the experimental phase which obviously would improve. 

6. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 6 (2014)

 It was revealed that this season of the show was episodes that didn't fit into any of the other seasons so was pushed together and I did enjoy it. The characters were well handled and some of the story arcs are great. But it has the least interesting action scenes and more stories that are just bland for sure but still a good season. 

5. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 3 (2010) 

 Another good season of the show that takes the show in a darker direction for sure and I thought it was handled pretty well. The thing that hurts the season is the amount of episodes which means there is too much filler but the 2nd half of the season holds it up and improves the season for sure.

4. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 (2009)

 This season did some interesting things, it focuses more on the underworld of the universe and it provides more interesting story opportunities. but the script isn't as strong and it does struggle from the amount of episodes as it does drag too much but it is a great season. 

3. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 4 (2011) 

 The first season for me where I realised that this show could be something truly great, the stories are more interesting and morally grey. The emergence of Maul and the General Krell are truly great but once again there are too many episodes and that it was holds it back a bit to be honest but again a truly great season of the show.

2. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 5 (2012)

 A truly great season of television, this season had the best stories to date, seeing Maul build his criminal empire, Hondo's fun parts and Ashoka being exiled from the Jedi. It hits new level of depth and emotion and is a truly great season, but I just wish it had a few less episodes which would have made it even better. 

1. Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 7 (2020) 

 For me the most recent and last season of the show is easily the best. It looks the best and provides the most emotional moments, seeing Rex and Ashoka attempt to get through Order 66 is brilliantly emotional concluding with a truly gutpunching ending that ends with the right tone for the show.

Overall

Overall, this show started a bit slow but as it develops it gets more and more interesting and the last season is some of the best Star Wars around and nails the ending which is a crucial thing for a show.
