Fantastic 4 Reboot announced by Marvel Studios
Jon Watts confirmed to direct
Jon Watts who directed Spider-Man Homecoming, Far from Home & The Upcoming Spider-Man 3 will be taking the reigns of the film and that is exciting news. Even though the character was in Captain America: Civil War it was up to Watts to properly introduce Spider-Man into the MCU and he knocked it out of the park as he smashed the films and really delivered a great franchise. This clearly has Marvel Studios impressed enough to give him the reigns to this franchise that they need to do well.
Ignore the origin story
This is a personal thing for me and again similar to Spider-Man, the MCU basically skips over his origin because we all know it and the same should be done here. I believe that the characters should have their powers at the beginning of the film and get into superhero fun which the other versions of these films totally missed.
It has to be the best Fantastic Four film
I mean c'mon the other Fantastic Four films are pretty terrible so this film has to be the best Fantastic Four film and I truly believe it will be. With the MCU already in full flight I think Marvel Studios are in the right place to make this film and make it absolutely right.
Do Doctor Doom right or don't do him at all
Doctor Doom is one of the greatest villains in Marvel comics but for some reason has always been done poorly on the big screen. He is easily The Fantastic Four's biggest villain so I can see the temptation to use him here, all I will say is either make him the great interesting villain or save him and use him later down the line. Spider-Man hasn't gone against Green Goblin yet so why rush the Fantastic Four against Doctor Doom.
Overall
Overall, this is an exciting announcement, a great director choice and hopefully we get a great cast and great vision that can make this a real hit in the MCU.
