Star Wars Show Rangers Of The New Republic Announced By Disney

This is one of the more interesting Star Wars announcements for me that a spinoff from The Mandalorian called Rangers Of The New Republic is coming to Disney+ and even though there isn't much known about it at the moment I am here to theorise what is to come. 

Will have a big crossover with The Ahsoka show

This is the one thing that has been confirmed is that towards the end of the first season this show will have a big crossover with the Ahsoka show and that is very interesting indeed and I wonder how they will be connected. With it confirming that it will take place towards the end of the season could we see something big brewing potentially a big showdown with Grand Admiral Thrawn? 

Could Bo-Katan be the common link? 

Again the crossover for this show feels a bit strange to say the least and I think there has to be a common link and maybe this could be it. Before the announcement there was a rumour going around that Katee Sakhoff could be having a show as Bo-Katan and maybe she could be involved here. Now I don't think she will be a regular on this show but I do believe that she will be involved with this show and the Ahsoka show and link the two together. 

Will Gina Carano as Cara Dune be the main character? 

Now even though she has some real life heat I see a big future for Gina Carano as Cara Dune as she has been one of the best characters on The Mandalorian. Again there was rumours going around that she would be involved in her own show and I believe this show will be the one. Slight spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 2, Cara Dune has officially re-joined the New Republic so there is a clear through line as to why she would be on this show and I wonder whether that will be set up in The Mandalorian like Ahsoka was earlier in the season. 

Is a really interesting premise 

Similar to The Mandalorian I feel this show has a great idea, we have seen pretty much nothing of The New Republic in the canon universe and this show has a real chance in developing how The Rebellion turned into The New Republic as we haven't seen that yet and the teases The Mandalorian has shown is a good start and hopefully this show expands on it. 

Will the show help introduce The First Order? 

Possibly in The Mandalorian we have seen the first inklings towards the creation of The First Order and this show can help along with that. I must stress I want to see a slow build to The First Order it shouldn't be a quick transition and I hope this show takes its time if that is where it is going. 

Overall

Overall, we have to wait for more information before getting too excited but I have pretty high hopes for this show and with the connection to the world of The Mandalorian it will hopefully keep that streak up.
