Predictions: The Mandalorian Season 3 

So The Mandalorian has finished its superb second season so now all eyes turn to the future of the show and especially after the ending of the season we don't really know what the hell is going to happen so I am playing with guess work but here it goes with my predictions. DO NOT READ THIS IF NOT UP TO DATE WITH THE MANDALORIAN. 

Will this be The Book of Boba Fett?

In the post credit scene of the finale it was revealed that in 2021 we will see The Book Of Boba Fett. Now a few weeks ago it was reported that The Boba Fett show and The Mandalorian Season 3 would be different shows but I am just not sure if that will be the case now. After the events of the episode it seems we might be taking a break from Mando's story and focus on Boba Fett which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Though I actually think The Book Of Boba Fett will be a spinoff show which will be reinforced in my next point. 

We won't see Season 3 till 2022

With the big announcement of Disney+ new Star Wars shows I feel like there is no rush to get the next season of The Mandalorian out on the streaming service. We know we are getting The Book of Boba Fett next year so I think we will see the main characters of the show back the next year, I mean Pedro Pascal is a busy man so it does make some sense. 

Can this show survive without Grogu? 

The biggest thing to happen in The Mandalorian was the return of Luke Skywalker to train Grogu which means he is no longer with Mando. For me this shows heart has been from the relationship between Mando and Grogu, I also feel like there were a few things we had to learn about Grogu so it is a disappointment to see the little guy leave the show. 

Will Mando become the leader of Mandalore? 

In the season finale we see Mando become the rightful owner of The Darksaber after defeating Moff Gideon in combat. Now in lore that technically makes him the leader of Mandalore and despite him not wanting it could we see this. We know we are destined to see a clash between him and Bo Katan but I can only see one winner and it would be a really interesting way to end this show. 

Will Moff Gideon's endgame be revealed? 

It was an intentional thing that Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon survived this finale and I believe his story is not over. He revealed in the finale that he had enough of Grogu's blood for what he was doing so it seems his whole plan isn't over yet. Could he have been trying to clone Grogu or could this all tie into Palpatine's return in The Rise Of Skywalker, we just don't know. 

Hopefully will lead to a crossover where Thrawn is the villain

We now have 4 shows under The Mandalorian banner, this show, The Book Of Boba Fett, Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka. Some crossovers have been confirmed so could we see a huge crossover seeing all these characters go after Grand Admiral Thrawn, I certainly hope so.
